Academic Development

Core Modules

Through real-world learning students explore a topic each academic year which impacts their local, state, and national communities. Students then learn the topic through the modules of Data Science/Math, Risk Factors (public health), Physiology, and Bioethics. This allows students to understand a given topic through a multidimensional lens and action oriented real-world problem solving. This empowers and creates a space for students to be change-makers in their communities. Previous topics explored include; Mental Health, Cancer, Nutrition & Food Access, and Respiratory Health to name just a few.

This year, students are exploring Epidemiology!
