Message from Mr. Jones:

When I was appointed, a few years ago, to the Board of Directors for the then newly formed chapter of the "Smiles For A Lifetime Foundation",  I learned of an opportunity for children in need of orthodontal care.  The sole purpose of this organization - in conjunction with Fry Orthodontic Specialists - is to provide FREE orthodontics care to economically challenged children, who are under the age of 18 and living in the greater KC metro area. Individuals meeting the aforementioned guidelines and who have moderate to severe dental needs (that can be corrected with braces) will be selected to receive scholarships.

These scholarships will guarantee free services to all recipients throughout the process of restoring and correcting their smiles.

As the process of selecting recipients continues, we need to make the constituents of the Greater Kansas City Metro area aware of this great program.

Young people and guardians are asked to submit three things:

  1. A completed application for each child,
  2. One 5x7 head-shot photo of the student with a full smile and teeth showing, and
  3. Two typed written one-page letters of reference from non-family members.

All of the information needed is attached to this correspondence and can be printed and disseminated, immediately.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you in getting ball rolling on this amazing opportunity.

Finally, I would be more than happy to stop in and share the information with your parishioners.  It normally takes no longer than 4 minutes to inform audiences of the opportunity.

Thank you and have a wonderfully blessed week,

Jarius O. Jones
