Cynthia Annett, Ph.D.


Cynthia Annett received her PhD from UC Berkeley in Zoology. She is currently the Science and Technology Consultant for the Kansas City, Kansas Saturday Science and Math Academy. Her work as a trainer for the development of student e-portfolios, the use of Google Earth, Google Sites, Docs, Maps, and other Google Apps has resulted in her being accepted to undergo certification as a Google Certified Trainer. Dr. Annett is also the technology consultant for an online university level science curriculum emphasizing Environmental Justice and Native American tribal environmental concerns (Native American Science) and for a collaborative program between the University of Kansas and the University of Alaska at Anchorage to develop curriculum on the Peoples and environment of Northern Eurasia (Siberia courses online). She has been recognized by the Kansas Association for Conservation and Environmental Education (KACEE) with the 2011 Award for Excellence in Conservation and Environmental Education PreK-16 for her development of an online K-12 ecology curriculum centered on the local environment (Kansas River Science, Kids 4 the Kaw, Teens 4 the Kaw).
